Based on the 10 Principles & Practices for Nonprofit Management Excellence , Excellence in Action (EIA) is Mississippi's only nonprofit competencies certification program that encourages nonprofit staff and board members to learn more about effective nonprofit management strategies.

Excellence in Action is a multi-strategy learning program designed for busy board members and employees. Volunteers and staff will be able to take self-paced online courses, webinars and meet in a limited number of interactive sessions about specific nonprofit topics.

Once completed, the individual and organization may receive the Excellence in Action distinction to be included on websites, in grants and other promotional opportunities.
