Excellence in Action
Nonprofit Certification Program
Based on the Ten Principles & Practices for Nonprofit Management Excellence, Excellence in Action (EIA) is Mississippi's only nonprofit competencies certification program that encourages nonprofit staff and board members to learn more about effective nonprofit management strategies.
Excellence in Action is a multi-strategy learning program designed for busy board members, staff and nonprofit executives. Once completed, the individual and organization may receive the Excellence in Action distinction to be included on websites, in grants and other promotional opportunities. Organizational certification can be earned by one board member, one board officer, and the executive director attending the two-day workshop series and completing the peer review. Each organization enrolled in the program can utilize a limited number of free consulting hours. Excellence in Action can help nonprofits reach a new level of service through learning best practices.
